Purpose
This guide explains how to configure an Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions (Cradlepoint) access point for Cloud4Wi via NetCloud.
Please note that the images in this article may contain outdated configuration data. Therefore, check the "Parameters for the Solution" section at the bottom of the page, as it contains the most up-to-date information.
Prerequisites
To successfully integrate an Ericsson access point with the solution, ensure that:
- The device is connected to the Internet.
- WAN and LAN interfaces are properly configured.
Create SSID
Once logged into your NetCloud account, select the router you need to configure and go to the "Configuration" tab.
In this guide, we configured the IBR900 AP purely as an example; however, these instructions apply to all ERICSSON models.
Example:
- Log into your netcloud account using your credentials.
- Navigate to Networking > Local Network and configure the SSID for each WiFi radio.
- Create and edit the SSID:
- From here, you can rename the SSID and set the Security Mode as Open. Save this setting by clicking on Submit.
Configure the Hotspot Local network
- Navigate to Networking / Local IP Networks and modify the existing Guest LAN o create a new one:
Please review the following sections:
-
-
General Settings: Assign a name for easy identification.
-
IPv4 Settings: Set the IP address and netmask for your network, then select "Hotspot" from the drop-down menu for IP routing mode.
-
Interfaces: From here you can add the SSID you created earlier as available for hotspot mode.
-
Make any additional necessary changes for your network and click "Save and Commit" to apply all settings.
Create Hotspot Service
Navigate Networking / Local Networks /Hotspot services and configure as following:
- Click Apply to save these settings. Scroll down to Allowed hosts/domains prior to Authentication and enter the domain names as required. Ericsson supports “ *.domain.com” format for walled garden entries.
- Add *.cloud4wi.com
-
General Settings: Assign a name for easy identification.
