Introducing Hedy: Your AI Assistant for WiFi Management
Hedy, a groundbreaking AI assistant, is now available to help optimize your WiFi services management. Named after the brilliant inventor Hedy Lamarr, this AI-powered tool provides actionable recommendations and deep insights, helping you pinpoint WiFi service issues and offering steps for rapid resolution to boost speed and efficiency. Hedy is built on a robust, proprietary multi-agent AI system and will soon autonomously execute operational tasks to address critical use cases.
Hedy's public beta launches on July 22, 2025, offering an early glimpse into how AI can transform WiFi service management.
Domain-Based Onboarding
Introducing a new feature that simplifies managing network access. Domain-Based Onboarding allows you to automatically assign users specific network permissions based on their email domain during the onboarding process. This automates who can access your network, making initial provisioning easier and more controlled.
Domain-Based Onboarding offers even greater flexibility and automation when combined with User Groups. You can now use a user's domain to automatically assign them to a specific user group. For example, users with a corporate email domain (e.g., yourcompany.com) can be assigned to an "Employees" group, while those from external domains might be directed to a "Guests" group. This group, in turn, applies a comprehensive set of configurations, including network policies, dedicated internet plans, device limits, and other granular access controls, ensuring a more precise and robust access experience right from the start.
User Group - Assignment Rules: Filter by Sign-up Location
We've expanded the user group assignment rules to give you even more flexibility. You can now filter and assign users to specific groups based on their sign-up location or by sign-up location tags, allowing for more precise segmentation and targeted policy application. This is particularly useful for environments with multiple physical locations or distinct operational units.
Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Support for Passpoint
Our platform now fully supports Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions access points for Passpoint. This significant enhancement means you can seamlessly integrate these access points into your existing infrastructure to manage Passpoint traffic, providing even greater flexibility and expanded network compatibility for your Wi-Fi services.
Enhanced User's Device Analytics (Beta)
Device analytics, previously available in our older dashboards, have been re-introduced and enhanced. This update brings valuable insights to the Profile Dashboard, offering new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on the devices used by your Wi-Fi users, including Operating System, OS Version, Device Type, and Device Manufacturer distributions.
Important Note: This feature is currently in Beta. While it provides valuable insights, the data currently displayed may not yet be fully accurate or reliable, partly due to challenges with MAC address randomization. We are continuously working to refine these metrics and improve data integrity. Data collection for these new KPIs begins with this release, and historical data is not available.
